2017 marked a year of celebration on the journey of Bantu Hikers. The organization celebrated two years as a registered NPO and a successful second annual out of town hike with our professionals. Other milestones include the establishment of our board – which we look forward to introduce in the next few months; and our founders, Khanya Sosibo and Mpho Sekwele raising the BH flag both on the continent and globally, as they were selected to represent SA in the YALI –Regional programme and the YALI- Mandela Washington programme respectively.
The start of 2018 has continued on this vein of positivity as our 2017 cohort received their results, in which once again all passed and earned 12 distinctions among them.
As we welcome our 2018 cohort we reflect proudly on the time we spent with the 2016 cohort who have now come to the end of their journey with us, having successfully navigated their way through first year at tertiary institutions across the region.
Welcome to 2018 and thank you for your continued support in our effort to #occupyspaces while empowering others. To a year that has been dubbed 20-Gr8teen, we are excited to live up to it, be great ,encourage greatness and inspire gr8ness.
